THE 10 RULES OF THE DIRECTOR
To stand strong in life and experience true happiness, you don’t actually need that much.
Beyond all material possessions, “happiness” is something we all crave to navigate our life’s journey with joy.
Happiness is a broad and personal concept. It’s different for everyone, and each individual defines happiness in their own unique way. That’s why there’s no such thing as “absolute happiness.” There’s only “your happiness.”
Believe it or not, the foundation upon which your happiness rests shares some surprising commonalities that apply to everyone. As actors on this stage, we all follow—often unconsciously—the rules that govern every play, whether it’s life itself or a fictional piece in the theater.
In this series, over the next 10 months, I will delve into the 10 Rules of the Director.
These Rules are quite special (hence the capital letters), primarily because they are so self-evident. Everyone can understand them.
It’s not the understanding of these rules that’s challenging. It’s putting them into practice.
Being imbued with the Rules and accepting all the consequences of following them is the foundation for a stable and fulfilling life. It’s exciting material because it pinpoints the exact pain points of the stumbling blocks people encounter in their lives.
When you recover from such a stumble, you’ll see that these rules become even more essential.
Keep an eye on the blog, starting in November we’ll kick off with Rule 1!
